Come decked out in your derby day best when you attend the Angad Arts Hotel derby watch party at ART Bar on Saturday, May 7 from 2-6 p.m. Prizes will be given out for three different categories: Best Dressed Couple/Group, Best Hat/Fascinator, and Best Race Day Outfit. Additionally, guests can enjoy four Mint Julep variations including a Chocolate Mint Julep, “Bourbon and Bubbles,” “The Juice,” and “Orange You Glad I Said Bananas.” You’ll enjoy music from Number 9 Coal, a bluegrass band, before the pre-show that begins at 5:15 p.m. and the race immediately following that will be available to view. Don’t forget about an exclusive Mint Julep ice cream created by Serendipity using Fistful of Bourbon and the derby food buffet. No reservations are required and are on a first-come basis. ART Bar will be open until midnight after the race.
